Welcome and thank you for your interest in learning more about me and my practice! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The State University of New York at Albany in 2002 and my Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from The State University of New York College at Brockport in 2005. I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (formerly known as a Licensed Professional Counselor, License #12436) and trained in yoga for resiliency and trauma through the Baptiste Foundation Unstoppable Program. I have worked in a variety of settings, including primary (K-8), secondary (9-12), and post-secondary (college) education, residential treatment, and private practice. I am grateful to be working in a field where I help promote holistic health and wellness.
I have over 20 years of experience in counseling and working with people with a wide variety of needs, including, but not limited to: Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Trauma/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I also specialize in working with older populations, with a focus on Adjustment/Life Transitions and Grief/Loss. Please visit my services page for the complete list of counseling services that I offer.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, practicing yoga and meditation, cooking, reading, and watching movies.
