Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about me and my practice! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The State University of New York at Albany in 2002 and my Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from The State University of New York College at Brockport in 2005. I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (License #12436) and trained in yoga for resiliency and trauma through the Baptiste Foundation Unstoppable Program. I have worked in a variety of settings, including primary (K-8), secondary (9-12), and post-secondary (college) education, residential treatment, and private practice. I am grateful to be working in a field where I help promote holistic health and wellness.

I would describe my communication style as “gently direct.” I take an active role in the therapy process, and I encourage my clients to gently push out of their comfort zones towards growth. I am here for my clients every step of the way. Be it an easy path or difficult road, I offer a supportive environment for clients to explore their life experiences, while fostering resiliency and empowerment.

I have over 20 years of experience in counseling and working with people with a wide variety of needs, including, but not limited to: Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Trauma/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I also specialize in working with older populations, with a focus on Adjustment/Life Transitions and Grief/Loss. Please visit my services page for the complete list of counseling services that I offer.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, practicing my faith, exercising, practicing yoga and meditation, cooking, reading, and watching movies.
